Clubhouse

We are very fortunate to have the facility we have in Sandycove, and unfortunately we are inclined to take it for granted most of the time. Mary Rynne is our Clubhouse Officer this year and from time Mary will be looking for assistance to carry out some tidy up and maintenance work, please endeavour to give her a hand if she asks. Remember the clubhouse is not self cleaning so use the bins provided for rubbish and try not to leave gear lying around and definitely NO WET GEAR in the lecture/dance area.

The old gas boiler gave up the ghost at the end of last season and this has been replaced a new wall mounted unit. The committee have a plan to give the boat room a bit of an overhaul and make it more user friendly with better storeage options for anchors, boat boxes, pumps etc.

The club is also in the market for a new compressor. The fixed and portable Bauers are both up on 10 years old and while both are still working well it is appropriate that we plan for an upgrade. It is our intention to also research systems that will facilitate Nitrox fills in the future. We have sought some quotations and will keep you informed on the options presented.
