Welcome to the October/November 2004 Newsletter
As the diving season is drawing to a close and the lucky few
head for the Red Sea this edition of the newletter is mainly dominated
by the officers reports from the AGM which was held in the Clubhouse
on 15th October. The meeting was well attended and there was plenty
of discussion and debate over various issues. All the written
reports can be viewed below. A new committee was elected for the
2005 season click
here to see who the lucky winners are this year!
But back to the real issue of diving, to make you really jealous,
we have an article about diving in the Komodo Islands by Mick
O'Loughlin. Mick has taken some fabulous photos from Komodo which
I have put on a separate page. Returning to the slightly less
colourful Scotsmans Bay in Sandycove, Mick has also contributed
an article on the Underwater Orienteering competition which was
held in August
Mark Seavers has also put pen to paper to describe one of his
dives this year when the club travelled to Burtonport and met
a 'strange beast' in the water.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this newsletter and, as
ever, if you have any ideas for the newletter or the site in general
let me know.
