It should also be noted that there have been dives in Dublin Bay that have not been logged (not for any malicious reason, mainly boat dives where divers have not returned to the club house – the '06 committee should review the way that Dive logs are completed.

Thanks

The D.O. wishes to thank all members of the committee for their support over the last year.

I would also like to thank all of the instructors who gave so generously of their spare time in the training of the members of this club and their willingness to carry out the testing of other (non-Curragh) CMAS club members (allowing the reciprocal testing of our club members). Niall, Shane & Steve in particular.

I would like to thank the DoD’s that turned up and did their bit on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays (including Briany’s night dives).

Thanks to Peader & Neill B for organising the Boffin, Achill, Burtonport, & Kilkee trips and John for the Hook trip.

And last but not least thanks should be given to those unsung members who tow boats & compressors, clean club houses, collect parts for boats during working hours etc. These are essential tasks and without other people providing a helping hand, the dives just wouldn’t happen at all.

I will not be standing for the position of Dive Officer for the '06 season.

Yours in diving

Kevin MacFarlane D.O Curragh SAC
