Social Secretary's Report

Not a great year on the Social front but we did have a few good nights.
The Christmas party was held in the 40Foot Restaurant in Dunlaoghaire.
There was a very good turnout with 63 people sitting down for Dinner. It
was a very enjoyable night but generally felt that the venue was not
ideal in that it lacked an area for dancing after the dinner. We`ll have
to bear that in mind for this year. We had the Elva Crowley band play in
the clubhouse in June and it was a great night for those who turned up.
Unfortunately it was a small turnout and we would need to have more
people to make this worthwhile. The clubhouse is always a good fun venue
and we`ve had great nights there in the past. We had the club BBQ in
Sandycove in September and it was a great success. Food and wine were
great and I think everybody had a good time. Thanks to John for
providing the BBQ.
